Chef Wenn

Chef Wenn stopped by last night to help make supper. She insisted on wearing her apron and chef's hat. We made Catfish Parmesan, roasted asparagus and baked sweet potatoes. She was in charge of breading the fish - she even touched it! She was a great helper and I can't wait until she's actually old enough to cook. I'll be glad to take a night off! I couldn't get her to smile, she was too busy. Doesn't she make a precious chef?

Happy Dance

Cousin Jacob is here this weekend. When Jacob gets excited or is really happy, he does a "happy dance". Here is a little video of Jacob and Wenn doing the happy dance together! I think Wenn was so happy about Baby Mills' arrival - she can't wait to meet Myrt! Congratulations to Nick and Kate on their beautiful baby girl - check out their blog to see pics. of their new addition! I'm sure they did a little happy dance of their own! Jacob will be visiting with us a couple of more days because there is no power at his house due to the storm that tore through Jackson Friday. We're just glad that he's here. Enjoy the Happy Dance!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Last Thursday night Jamie Murrell and I took Keeton and Wenn to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar at the BPAC. Here they are with their tickets before we went in to the theater. It was very cute and the girls loved it. Keeton especially liked the stars and the trees. It was a unique puppet show and it included The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Mixed-up Chameleon, and Little Cloud by Eric Carle. It was a great girls night out!

The cousins

This is a picture of Wenn, Gabbie and Jacob at Leroy Percy Park after church Sunday. The Easter bunny gave Wenn a bubble gun and Gabbie and Jacob were chasing the bubbles all over the park. We went to church with my grandmother in Glen Allan and then we went to eat at the park. It was great to see the cousins together-if only Christopher had been there. It is hard to believe that Gabbie is now eight years old! Time flies! We tried so hard to get a picture of them together sitting still but, as you can see, that didn't work out so well.

Silly Girls!

This picture makes me smile. I don't know what Wenn and Elly were doing but it looks like Elly just told Wenn a hilarious joke and she is laughing so hard she can't stand it. It is fun to imagine what is going on in those little heads of theirs!

Easter Fun

Saturday we had a very busy day. First we went to the egg hunt at our church. Here is a picture of Wenn and Mary Paxton on the slide. Wenn wouldn't sit still, she just had to slide! Then we went to another egg hunt at the Lloyd's house and she and Elly had a blast on the swings! Wenn loved gathering Easter eggs but she dumped out the candy (she'll only eat suckers!). Then we went home for naptime and after that, on to Eva's house for more Easter fun. Finally we ended up at my grandmother's house for hot dog cooking and marshmellow roasting. It was a great day and so much fun seeing so many friends and family!

Beach Babe

We went to Perdido Beach last week for Mississippi Young Bankers Conference. It was actually warm enough to go to the beach this year and Wenn had a blast! She LOVES the sand and had so much fun at the "beach party" as she called it.
