Queen Bee

Mimi cleaned out her classroom before she got out for the summer and found some costumes that she decided to give to Wenn. Wenn loved this bumble bee costume and even posed for a picture! She's growing up too fast! This night after she wore her bee costume for a while, I asked her if she was ready for her bath and she replied "Yes, Your Highness!". She is definitely the Queen of our house and our hearts!

"Happily Taps"

My brother is not going to be happy about this post but too bad. Last night Wenn and Jacob got into Mimi's dress-up trunk and found these beautiful princess shoes. They ran around the house saying "happily taps, happily taps" and making as much noise as possible. It was hilarious! None of their shoes matched or managed to be worn on the correct foot. I think Jacob liked wearing heels as much as Wenn! Andy took this picture with his blackberry so excuse the quality. Maybe next time we'll catch it on video. I have a feeling this picture might come back to haunt Jacob one day.

The Race

Saturday was the Cotton Classic. The Cotton Classic is a great event that consist of a 10K run, a 3K walk and then a 1 mile Fun Run for the kids. It all takes place downtown and this year it coincided with the Main Street Arts & Crafts Festival. Wenn and I did the Fun Run. She actually ran about 1/2 a mile which I thought was pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old. Here are Wenn and Sydney Williams with their medals for participating in the race. Andy ran the 10K and had the best time in the 30-35 age group. He even got a trophy that is now on display in his office. I'm so proud of my athletic family!

Wenn and Myrt

This is a picture of Wenn and her new friend Myrt. Myrt is Kate England Mills and her husband Nick's precious baby and Wenn was so excited about finally getting to meet her. We went to see Kate the weekend before she had the baby. Wenn tested out all of Baby Mills toys and made sure everything was in good working order before Myrt's arrival. As we were backing out of Kate's driveway that weekend, Wenn started crying and saying "But I want to meet Baby Mills". She finally did and we can not wait to see Myrt, Kate and Nick again! Thanks for the cute pics. Kate!
