Girls Trip

The weekend of June 21-23, Jamie and Keeton Murrell, Holly and Eva Wade and Wenn and I took a Girls trip. We went to Jackson and stayed at the Dickerson's boathouse at Lake Caroline. Friday night we went to Build-a-Bear and the girls got to create teddy bears and pick out clothes for them. All three girls ended up with Cinderella dresses and pink teddy bears. Saturday morning we ate breakfast at IHOP and then it was off to the Natural Science Museum. They had a great time checking out the dinosaur exhibit and all of the other animals. For lunch we stopped at Deville Grill for sandwiches and ice cream and then it was off to take naps. After nap time we tried to go to Gatti town but it was way too crowded so we ended up going to Libby Lu's. This was our first Libby Lu's experience but I'm pretty sure there will be many more! The girls got makeovers including a manicures, makeup and pretty hair-do's. Then we ate supper at Macaroni Grill where Miss Keeton thoroughly enjoyed the spaghetti. Sunday morning we woke up, fed the geese and then headed home. It was a fabulous weekend and we all had so much fun!

Trick-or-Treating in June

A couple of weekends ago Jacob came to visit for a couple of days. Wenn had been saving this purple dinosaur costume for him so he could wear it and she could be a princess. When Jacob got to our house they got all dressed up and looked way to cute to just sit around the house so we went trick-or-treating. I dug out our jack-o-lanterns and off we went. We went across the street to Peggy's house because she has a cracker jar that she keeps full for Wenn. Then we hopped in the car and went to the bank for suckers. Mr. Parker keeps a candy bowl on his desk and he was happy to share with the princess and the teradactyl! They had a good time and I think everyone should celebrate Halloween in June!

Father's Day

Andy had a fabulous Father's day. I made a photobook of Wenn's first two and a half years, we got him a pair of Keen sandals and I made this shirt for Wenn to wear and surprise him. Andy was named one of 11 Delta Innovators in Delta Living magazine. They had a nice article about his career and everything he does for the community. It really was a great honor. We didn't want all of the recognition to go to his head so I made Wenn this shirt that said "My Daddy is..." on the front and then on the back it said "Andy Sanders - The Innovator". I put the silliest picture I could find on it and Wenn loved it! She insisted on wearing it backwards so she could see her daddy's silly face. Andy thought it was great!

Crazy Summer!

Sorry to be gone so long! We have had a busy summer so far. I was director of Vacation Bible School at our church June 8-12 and then it has just been one thing after another. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and I'll try to catch you up!
